It would be possible to use a standard lindal valve connector gas stove with the G-Works adapter however I prefer to use my Kovea Spider. It's looking like I will need to replace the control valve to a lindal valve and possible replace the fuel line to the stove. I didn’t realize there would be an issue until after I received the setup, so I’ve spent an ungodly amount of time figuring out how to get around this situation. The fuel lead to the Spider is quite long so will reach the extended height of a propane canister with adapter attached. These are aftermarket adapters being discussed and quality will obviously vary across what is available.

If, by any chance, I’ve somehow misunderstood the information above and you know of a solution, please do let me know. If so, your best bet will be a stove that burns petrol instead, because you can get that every time you fill up your bike. There are moving parts, which are mostly plastic and I suspect would break if subjected to too much torque when tightening. You must remember that these connections effect a gas seal with the o ring fitted in the female fittings, so you must ensure that you don't compromise this seal by damaging either the o ring or the blue plastic clamping mechanism. I'll see if I still have a copy of 147 around, and may have a canister somewhere to see what the markings say.Even fewer knew that there are several dual fuel stoves and handy little adaptors you can get for your camping stove that will allow it to use any type of gas. Day hikers, weekend-warriors and those inspired to try bothy life having read a best seller will also visit. Featuring wide pan supports to increase stability, a heat screen to protect the control knob during use and a hard clamshell case for protection in storage makes this stove ideal for any outdoor adventure.

By utilising an adapter with a stove for which such use is not recommended this could potentially adversely affect the performance of a stove, or worse. There are only a few manufacturers of [screw thread] canisters world wide, and they manufacture all the different brands. In truth, I think you’d pretty much reached the conclusion already: I don’t believe there are any adaptors or alternative fuel sources for Campingaz Bleuet style stoves. This product is not sold in Europe (certainly not Norway, where I live), and thus is fitted for the 16. Some will have packed in a Campingaz stove or, less often, something to hook up to a large and heavy dark green propane bottle weighing a kilogram or so. This is a simple and efficient adapter that enables often significantly cheaper gas canisters to be used with a ‘standard’ backpacking stove.

Alternative adapters for these bottles are quite easily located as they are sold for those brazing and soldering with propane. Some people seem to think that certain brands give a more consistent flow and let you use the full canister better.I’ve bought a Campingaz Camping Chef folding stove and i bought the appropriate regulator to go with it. I have had no experience of Campingaz stoves in the past forty years as they are a bit clunky, heavy and bulky. so to any French, or European members here, I ask: would this type of adapter be available in Europe? I am now the owner of a CampingGaz Tristar and for the last week I have been looking for a way to adapt the stove to use Lindal canisters. Like the previous adapter, these adapters are manufactured from brass, various alloys and plastic, with little in the way of moving parts.

Using cookies is the most effective way we can get feedback and analyse what improvements we can make. These can be disconnected from a stove after first use and are a vast improvement on the earlier pierceable cans, hence them being named, in full, Easy Clic Plus connectors. While a connector adapter opens up possibilities I remain unconvinced about adding one to my pack, at least in the UK. There may be something available on AliExpress or similar but I have no experience of an adapter if there is. Having given two talks on camping stoves at recent festivals, one of the key things I realised was that not everyone knows about the different types of gas canisters available for camping stoves. For what it’s worth, the aerosol-type canisters were very prevalent on my trip to southern Chile this year — they seem to be associated with the cheaper-looking stoves imported from China and elsewhere.
