Consenting to these technologies will allow us to process data such as browsing behavior or unique IDs on this site. From the start, the DadPad® has been working with mums, dads, Health Visitors, Midwives and Public Health Teams to provide the most relevant and accurate information available, and continues to do so.

We’re also pleased to share that a co-parent pad has been developed to achieve fill inclusivity and offers a bespoke resource for the LGBTQIA+ community which we’re really excited about as well. Building a strong attachment enables dads to better enjoy their new role and contributes towards positive long-term social, health and educational outcomes for their babies. The DadPad app is a useful resource before baby arrives and after baby is born, and is designed to be used as a quick, on-the-go reference tool, allowing new dads to enjoy their babies and feel more confident about fatherhood.

We strongly recommend taking appropriate action to ensure your safety when engaging with any of the organisations, groups, events or services listed. Outside of the service working hours, you’ll receive a message back to inform you that your text will be responded to once the service reopens. Being a parent of a child in neonatal care can come with a lot of other emotions and problems to deal with, and DadPad Neonatal can offer additional help and support. The DadPad was created because babies don’t come with a set of instructions, and dads told us they wanted important information on what to expect and how to care for their baby.

The DadPad was created by listening to what dads, their partners and professionals asked for in relation to preparing for fatherhood, what to expect and how to care for their baby. Once the app is installed, enter your postcode when prompted and select your local area or hospital.DadPad is designed to reduce anxiety in a number of ways, for example, by helping dads gain confidence by getting involved with their baby’s care, as well as learning how to create a strong bond and build stronger family relationships. The child development part is my favourite bit, but there’s things in there, like things about mental health, that I didn’t know about and that I didn’t know you needed to know about.

The DadPad app is an evidence based app accessible to all fathers living in Solihull and is FREE of charge. The DadPad] is about Dads being prepared for some of that tension and strain of being a new parent, but without being overwhelmed and knowing that it’s not just mums who can access the help and advice that’s available, even if they don’t live with their partner. Caroline Saywood, Local Maternity and Neonatal System Lead Digital Midwife said, 'Whether you’re a first-time dad or a fifth time dad, being a parent is a constant education where we have to keep learning.
